Our purpose is to make reported private wealth information easier to inspect. The founding edition follows the principles below.
Source and scope
Material figures link to an original publication. We record the asset definition, reporting scope, measurement date and retrieval date separately. A company publication is labeled company-reported; it is not described as independently audited unless evidence supports that claim.
Comparison eligibility
AUM, AUA, regulatory AUM and assets under supervision remain separate metrics. The sample currently contains distinct definitions, so it supports a contextual comparison rather than a common AUM league table. A missing value stays missing.
Performance
The founding edition does not calculate or rank portfolio returns. Asset growth is not treated as investment return. A future performance comparison would need an identified portfolio or product, period, currency, calculation method, fee basis and appropriate supporting evidence.
Coverage
The directory begins with three researched profiles. It is neither a census nor a representation of all family offices globally. Related legal entities and group-level figures require separate treatment to avoid double counting.
Editorial automation
The six founding explainers were created with AI assistance for the prototype and require human editorial review before public launch. Current publishing is manual; automated monitoring and AI drafting are disabled. A model output is not itself a financial data source.
Corrections
If a source changes or a material error is identified, the relevant record should be corrected with its date and explanation retained. In this local prototype, corrections can be made through Ghost Admin and the local profile data file.
Commercial separation
Membership does not determine inclusion, metric values or comparative position. No paid placements or investment recommendations are activated in this edition.
